In his first term as a county legislator, John' s mission has been to promote open and transparent government and maintain frequent communications with his constituents through his e-newsletter. This frequent communication has enabled him to respond to constituent's concerns. John has acted as a problem solver and advocate for his constituents on various issues. He worked with state and federal officials to help constituents with problems that were not county problems.

John has been a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility. He was the only legislator to appear before the Compensation Committee and tell them that the legislators should not get a raise. He was was one of the first legislators oppose raises for county management personnel. He has voted against unreasonable expenditures of taxpayer funds.
 
He has been active member of the Legislation, Energy and Environment and Public Safety Committee. and also chairs the Litigation Subcommittee which oversees litigation against the County on behalf of the Board of Legislators. He is a voice of common sense and reason on the County Board
 
The residents of the Third Legislative District and Westchester County need to keep him on the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
